5-1 with a firstbaseman at catcher? not terrible. 8.5 back in the division and 8 back in the WC. Finally getting healthy for the most part despite being down a starter, reliever and two catchers. time to get hot.

SAN FRANCISCO - Yesterday, the big story wasn't about how
the Giants were tagged for 10 runs against the Braves. The
story was about what happened in the bullpen.

With tension mounting from this defeat, there was a brawl, but
it sure wasn't bench clearing. In the bullpen, many of the Giants
pitchers had started into a fight. Dice-K and Brandon Claussen,
both star pitchers, were injured in the brawl. Joe Saunders, who
instigated the fight, was suspended for 6 games.

More on the subject as it develops.

This week went a little worse than hoped. We ran our win streak to 13 by winning the first game against Seattle 12-7, behind 6 RBIs from Luke Scott, and 2 ER in 7.2IP. The next two games were close losses to Seattle, 3-2 and 5-3.

We followed this up with a 4 game series at Texas, and split the series with all games being pretty close... We won games 1 and 3 by scores of 6-2 and 6-5, and lost games 2 and 4 by scores of 10-8 and 8-7. This series saw several former O's do well. Garrett Olson pitched 6.2 innings giving up 2 unearned runs. Corey Patterson and Jarrod Saltalamacchia each had hits in all 4 games. Patterson went 8-20 with a HR and 3 SB. Salalamacchia went 5-17.

Next week we continue our road trip with a series at Cincinnati and then Milwaukee. Hopefully we can get 4 or more wins out of these games.
