| The Tampa Bay Devil Rays had a pretty good week one despite losing the season opener to the Boston Red Sox. The very next game, the Ray's bats came alive pound the sox into submission by a score of 20-2 lead by Dan Uggla who smashed 3 homers. In the rubber game of the series, Justin Berg took the mound for the D-rays and lasted only 4 innings giving up 5 runs. Trailing 5-3 going into the bottom of the 7th the rays tied the game on a 2 run single by dan uggla. Top of the 8th the sox retake the lead but in the bottom of the 8th the rays took scored twice giving them the lead. top of the 9th, jesus delgado comes in to slam the door but instead allows the sox to tie the game. The game remained tied until the bottom of the 11th when dan uggla tripled and adam jones singled him in. The devil ray then dropped the first of a 3 game series against the yankees but came back to win the series 2 games to 1. | |

| The Mets are looking to shoot themselves after watching gem Deolis Guerra and workhorse Aaron Heilman both fall to the Johan syndrome.
They're also looking for involvement from other teams in a 3-way trade where the receiver would receive Vladimir Guerrero for a relative price of 2 good prospects... the team that takes up this opportunity also has the possibility of receiving draft picks rumor's say.

You won't have much interest as I don't have much money at the moment. If you give a another prospect or two to the 3rd party, who does have a considerable bankroll, he may oblige.

| Great first week for the new look Orioles, who are starting 5 new players (Loney, Hermida, Delgado, Paulino, and Scott) and who have several new arms as well (Lester, Williams, Aardsma).
This week we took 2 of 3 from Toronto, and followed that up with a sweep of the Red Sox. Highlight of the Toronto series was an opening game 17-1 blowout that saw Delgado and Nixon drive in 4, Luke Scott drive in 3, and 3 other players drive in 2 runs. In addition 19 hits and 9 walks really stand out in this one. Williams got off to a rough start as an Oriole, giving up 5 runs in 3.2 IP for his first start. Hopefully he bounces back in his Sunday start in Texas. Hernandez finished up the Toronto series with a great start, going 8 innings and only giving up 4 hits, 2 walks, and 1 ER.
The Red Sox series featured a series opening 9-1 shutout, with Zach Duke putting up similiar #s... 8.2IP 5hits 1 walk 1 er. Game 2 saw the Orioles come back from a 3-2 deficit in the 7th to tie the game, and then take the lead in the 8th. Game 3 was another come from behind victory, as the red sox cut a 4-1 lead down by scoring 2 in the 7th, and then score 2 runs for the win in the bottom of the 9th.
Overall Delgado and Loney are off to hot starts, while Hermida struggled a bit. On the pitching side Lester and Williams struggled, while vets Hernandez and Duke posted stellar numbers. Long Reliever Derek Lowe gave up 2ER, but the rest of the bullpen racked up over 15 scoreless innings. Next week is a road trip to Texas and the Angels.

| A Nice week 1 for the Brewers going 4-1 on the back of some solid hitting. The last game vs the Pirates that saw us win to top the division were watched by only 9,000 odd fans. Time to drop the prices and reconnect with the community. | |

| The Twins went 6-0 in the first week of play to kick off the 2010 season. Solid starting pitching from Jonathan Papelbon (1.15 era through 2 games), Boone Logan (complete game shutout), Fransisco Liriano (8 innings of 1 run baseball), and Pat Neshek (8 innings of 2 run baseball) helped start off the Twins so well. The bullpen pitched 7 2/3 innings over the first 6 games, all in those innings they didnt allow a run. On the offensive side of the ball a few guys stood out. Leadoff Hitter Fransisco Leandro hit .462 with 2 hrs and 2 sbs. David Wright went .478 with 2 hrs and 6 rbis. Rounding out the solid week was Justin Morneau who hit .381 with 2 hrs and 7 rbis. On the downside Rookie SP Billy Petrick pitched 6.2 innings but has an era of 8.1, and also SS Brandon Fahey has started hitting slow going only 1 for 20 from the plate for a .05 batting average. | |

| The LA Angels got off to a good start for the 2010 season. They started the first week on the road where they got off to a blazing start sweeping the A's in a 3 game series. They then went up north to Seattle, the team to beat in the AL West. They only managed to take 1 out of 3. Both losses coming to walk-off runs by the Mariners in the bottom of the 9th. The first game of the series Pedro Feliciano blew a 1 run lead in the bottom of the ninth. Some tough losses against a division rival, but the Angels proved they belong and will be a tough team to face all year.
Angels will now go home for 9 games. 3 against Athletics again, and then a 4 game series against Baltimore and then a 2 game series to end the homestand against the Rangers.

| Woahhh! Watch out, cuz' the Cincinnati bats are ON FIRE!!! Unfortunately, the #1 and 2 pitchers weren't.
Every single batter in the starting lineup hit over .300 the first week of the season. The team went 3-3 overall, and the runs scored for those three wins? 12, 18, and 14 runs were scored! 2 of 3 losses were by only one point. Obviously we're not going to keep it up all season, but if the bats can stay productive and the starters can keep the games close, the Reds should be competitive this year. WoOt!
Player of the week: Ryan Freel puts up a .346/.469/.692 line in 26 AB, scoring 10 runs and knocking in 10 RBI with 2 HR, 3 doubles, 4 walks, and a SB.
