4-6 over the 10 games of this sim. Not what you're looking for, but considering these games were against LAA (1 game), Detroit, Tampa Bay and Minnesota I guess that helps.
A loss to LAA ended our 13 game winning streak. This came right at the trade deadline, and shortly after a small trade and one last big trade for the year. The Orioles sent Kurt Birkins and Chesty Walters to the Dodgers for OF prospect and former 2009 1st round pick Matthew Leib. Birkins struggled in Baltimore, but has done this in the past and turned things around over the end of the season. Chesty was mocked for his name, and needed a change of scenery. In addition there was nowhere for him to go with Ruben Gotay as the 2b of now and the future. The big trade brought Delwyn Young from Arizona to Baltimore in exchange for prized prospect Mickey Hall and RP Jason Stines and Robi Curry. This trade pretty much means the O's offense for the next 5 years is in place:
1b Ryan Howard
2b Ruben Gotay
3b James Loney
SS Jose Coronado/Edgar Renteria for the next year or so
OF Delwyn Young
OF Jeremy Hermida
OF Andrew McCutchen/some combo of Scott, Nixon, DeJesus until he's ready
C room for improvement here, but Paulino and Barajas for now.
The series at Detroit was close, with a 3-2 loss, a 5-4 win, and a 5-2 loss. At home vs TB we took 2 of 3, winning 11-2 and 8-5 before losing 10-7 in the last game. With one game left in the Minnesota series we currently are trailing 2 games to 1. We won the first game 5-4, before losing the next two 5-1 and 7-4.
August doesn't get any easier for the O's. We finish up against the Twins, then go on a tough 13 game road trip, with stops in New York, Oakland, Minnesota, and Tampa Bay. We return home on the 26th for a series vs Cleveland, and then New York.
