Lack of league support for the situation I'm in has pushed me to choose to resign. It's been fun and I hope everything goes well in the future for the league.

You probably should have just stuck with the Orioles. You knew the situation you were getting into and what the rules were regarding salaries before you made that trade with the Mets.

I knew what I got into and if you ask t-unit, I asked him to just let the trade die without a fuss. My problem came in when I tried to point out the bind I was in and ask the Admin to see my point of view. Lets just say the reception left me wanting.

I took the Padres to benefit the league and I don't regret that one bit.

like I told you, I appreciate you taking this team, you obviously did it even though it was in the leagues best interest and not yours. It is definitely in the leagues interest to see these teams improve, and you were able to keep your team's record and revenue about the same, and knock out almost 25% of their debt. Hopefully some things can be done to make the situation better, and I wish you'd stay.

Oww shucks. What awful news. You were one of our best gms from the begining, and will have to say I will personally miss your presence in our league. I wish you would stay, and can't make you, and wish you the best.

Here's the problem - with our current set of rules and the way my current team is going - it could take five seasons to be out of debt. At the pace we sim that would be a year and a half. Again - I knew what I was getting into, BUT I didn't think there would be such a complete lack of flexibility from the league. I assumed that because I had made the effort to help this team that I could at least get some support or understanding in helping it get back.

But when contacting the Admin to point out the dire position I was in, I was basically told I wasn't trading well enough and that no one forced me to do this.

Why - in that trade - was no effort made by anyone but Baltimore to understand the situation? I made 20 million but I can't spend a dime of it to try and speed up my dysmal situation? All I get is a "no, no exceptions" and told I screwed myself taking this team.

Gee - thanks a lot.

Hey, I made an effort to understand the situation. I came to the conclusion that Nomar Garciaparra and his 16 million dollar contract was not in the best interests of your team. I realize my voice is not as powerful as one of the mods, but I still feel like I can look at situations from an objective point of view and give an opinion. It just seemed to me that IF you were allowed to increase salary. There were hundreds of better options than adding one of the most overpaid guys in the game. Do you not agree there were many better options? And I understand you saying it's hard because there aren't many options given your situation, but you tried to get the league to change rules to allow Nomar. Now if it was something more reasonable I could see your argument.
