While the Halos don't have much to cheer about, they're still alive in the deminished AL West. Under .500, they haven't had much bright spots this year. One upside to all this losing, though, has got to be the production by the young rotation. Rookie sensation Adam Loewen stunned the juggernaut New York Yankees on July 21st by shutting them out through 6 2/3 innings and allowing just two hits to the very dangerous lineup. He got the Anaheim crowd pumped, fanning six Yankees and allowing a microscopic .095 average against. His age and experience showed though as he let seven free batters on base. Nonetheless, Angel Nation and the rest of the Halo universe is excited to see the youth of Loewen, Davidson, Harben, and the "veteran" 24 year-old Santana. With much trade circulation around Kelvim Escobar recently, there's a chance that the Angels' rotation may be full of kids that didn't live a day of the 70's.
