| Baltimore will be looking to add a few small pieces to the roster. Probably no starters though. Exciting news for this season is the pitching staff. The lineup was pretty much in place last year/ year before, it was just a matter of bridging the gap to our crop of minor league pitchers. So this year the rotation will probably feature Nat Will, Eric Hurley, Victor Gomez, Don Gilley (mid season), and probably Jerome Williams. However it will depend, as Williams, Rupe, Lester, and Chick are all on the block. Probably just looking to keep 1 or 2 of these 4. Also on the block is Rios. | |

| The Giants are on the fence about rebuilding or trying to improve for this year. It all depends on if they can make a deal in the next few days. | |

| It is true. Following the death of Fidel Castro, 3 of Cuba's most prized players are now free to come to the United States to pursue their dream of playing Major League baseball. There is also a Japanese pitcher and a South Korean slugger. | |

This just in: MLB is investigating SP Anibal Sanchez for allegations that he bought HGH in 2010. Seriously, what happened to the dude? All that time spent in Mexico and Japan apparently did him some good. -Cinci'

| Breaking News! The Houston Astros have won the right to negotiate with Tetsuwan Miyagi for an amount of $30,888,888! Other exciting news of the Internation Free Agents has Yosvanni Almirante, the Cuban star shortstop, signing a 7 year/$18,000,000 contract with the Detroit Tigers calling his agent just after he finished the paperwork! | |

| By the way, Miyagi's nickname is Astroboy! Astroboy is Japan's version of Superman. This should be a marketing bonanza. What a move by the Astros (this should get his fan loyalty to go up a few notches if it were real life!!) | |

| Rumours abound that while they would never admit it, the Reds may be giving up the NL central for the near short term.
An anonymous Reds official is rumoured to have stated the "weak free agent class and overinflated contract prices" as reasons for not making big splashes in free agency this year. Judging by the stop-gaps they are rumoured to have signed, the Reds offense likely won't have what it takes to compete for the playoffs this year.

| The Houston Astros continue to work hard this offseason to put a consistent winner on the field. It has become clear that the Astros' goals are high this year. In one weeks time, Houston GM 'jjsun' aquired 3 front line starters in Chuck James, Jake Peavy, and the highly touted Tetsuwan Miyagi. Additionally, the Astros have added outfielder Felix Pie and infielder Travis Ishikawa to the lineup.
While it sounds like a lot, the Astros are rumored to be looking for more pieces. After trading Hank Blalock, there is a gaping hole at 3rd base that must be filled. Houston has made offers to Troy Glaus and Edwin Encarnacion; with the latter being the team's apparent top choice.
The Astros are also rumored to be looking for a starting outfielder as well as a catcher.
They are definitely not done...

| The Washington Nationals are pleased to announce the acquisition of second baseman Jose Lopez from the Seattle Mariners today. We feel that this completes our all-star lineup and gives us a great glove at second base, rather than have to play someone out of position. The price was expensive as the Nationals had to part with Jimmy Rollins and 3 top prospects, including their most recent first rounder, outfielder Nelson Mantivar. | |
