| Well, while we wait for 07 to be free, it seems we may have a few open teams to deal with. Instead of letting these teams be "GMless", we are going to let some teams manage two teams so we can get the offseason underway. We will still list these teams as available. We will still recruit and post on sportsmogul and other places to try and fill the spots. Owners with 2 teams won't be able to trade between their two teams, or multiple way trades involving both their teams. We will also try and get this so their 2nd team is in the oppposite league (al/nl). If you are interested in helping out and taking a 2nd team, please post here. Thanks! | |

| We should also be wary of the free agent period. Owners with two teams could just use the 2nd team to try to drive prices up on guys not caring as much if this team got stuck with the player. Follow me? | |

How about, in the event of a "bidding war" a 2nd team is not allowed to participate unless it is for a legitimate explainable reason approved by the mod board (such as if the team has some cap room and is in need of a 1B)

| This is the rule from vMLB II an league hosted on baseballmogul.net
Rule 25: Caretaking a second team
Over the course of time, teams may open up (or need someone to watch them temporarily), and the council (only) may appoint or approve a caretaker. GMs appointed as caretakers may manage all the "day to day" running of the team, including lineup changes, ticket pricing, etc. However, any transaction (trades, FA pickups, waivers etc) outside of the day to day running will be reviewed by the council to be sure it is in the best interests of the team that is being caretaken. These things can still be done, just subject to council review. GMs from the other league will be given preference over GMs from the same league.
btw I am willing to run a second team
