| Activity should start to pick up today as Free Agency has begun. For those of you new to the league, free agency works pretty simply here. Basically you can start as low as you want, meaning you can bid the major league minimum for players, or the minor league minimum if you want to put them in the minors. Also once a high bid stands for 24 hours the player is awarded to that team. One last thing... there will be quite a few names out there as we get going, please make sure to look for an existing thread on a player before starting a new thread (if you don't see it, check by using the search button up top https://baseballmogul2007.editboard.com/search.forum ) , and if you do start a new player thread, please spell their name right! A few things will be different this year... as we get free agency moving we'll work to set a cutoff time for "A" free agents to be signed, and a fair way to work this other than just a set cutoff time (possibly a sealed final bid, possibly a sealed final bid where the winner pays a set amount more above the 2nd highest bid, or maybe a chat session to finish the bidding on "A" free agents off). Also as bidding continues for the more popular players I will specify a minimum increase that you must make over the previous bid. Also in the next day or two I'll be working to catch up on a few things. You should see the default draft order for each round posted, an update to the traded draft picks post (found here https://baseballmogul2007.editboard.com/Trading-Post-c7/Pending-Trades-f19/2009-Traded-Draft-Picks-t2250.htm -- please add a post if you know of any traded picks you've received or traded), and the final revenue sharing #'s (which should be slightly higher, as the Yankees made more than my initial guess) | |
