the cash is accurate from the last file I think he means how much budget he has left after Free Agency

| I'm going to extend the deadline on the pitchers as I am still working out a deal on Dice-K and still seems like some interest in the other pitchers | |

| i don't have a problem with deadlines or anything, in fact it's probably better that you do have a deadline. however i think it's only fair that we get at least a 24 hour notice before the deadline expires. | |

| ok. why are you keeping track of who is leading in the DiceK bidding if you're working on a trade for him and you're not going to HONOR the bidding you started for your players? if you were just going to trade them for prospects you should have said that to begin with instead of opening up bidding and then not HONORing those bids? if you're trading trade, if you're taking bids, take bids, but quit screwing around wtih those bidding if you're not going to accept/HONOR a bid and are going to make a trade anyway.
there should be a rule for this from now.

| I was aproached by people that wanted Dice-K. I'm not going to be a complete fool and not take the better deal. If you don't like it thats too bad. I am trading all the other pitchers for cash, the only exception is Dice-K. I don't know what your complaining about because I am still considerig your deal. | |

| oh BS. you are not considering my offer. you flat out told me if i wanted DiceK i had to beat your previous offer which was 4 90+ peak prospects. the thing is if you say you're selling those SP for cash you shouldn't turn around 5 days later and say you're trading them. and on top of that, you shouldn't keep a running tally of those winning in the bidding for DiceK IF you're not going to sell him for that anyway. because from your list of bids, it sure looks like i have DiceK.... | |

| I don't see the problem here, he was bringing the offers up and proving them by having open bidding which only makes his chances of getting a lot of cash better. It's no difference than an open auction if he thinks the 4 90+ prospects are better than the cash he's being offered he's just taking the best offer out there. | |

here's what specifically pissed me off. he said this was done just like FA where we bid CASH for his players (look at the Fing topic, CASH). i put in my bids and quit bidding on FA Anthony Reyes figuring i could get a better SP in DiceK (and i was willing to top nearly any bid for dicek). bidding on Reyes ends and the 24 hour period is gone. a couple days later now he wants 5 90+ peak prospects for DiceK. the point is IF he wanted to get prospects for him he should have said that to begin with, not pissed around and played little kids games about it. if i knew money wouldn't have gotten me DiceK i would have continued to bid on Reyes or even Hafner, at the time when bidding on Reyes ended he was still accepting money for DiceK.

| you didnt want hafner for more than 5 years anyway, but i do agree, this was kinda deceptive and not run very well. but hey, he's gettin paid, so deal how you must with who you must | |

| At the end of the day, Milwaukee has to make a trade that gets them the best deal for his players. He has said along the way that he may not trade every single one of these players anways. I don't see anything wrong with what the Brewers are doing, this is NOT free agency....nobody is forcing the guy to do anything. I do realize that it sucked for you guerilla as you had plans and stuff that you changed but I just don't see much wrong with the Brewers being very cautious about this situation. | |

| would it have been cool if at the Dice K bidding, the Japanese team collected some bids, then said without warning on the day of the deadline, ok the Red Sox have bid this much so far, so we're gonna extend the deadline another week and see who can top it? it's kinda like that.
he phrased his post to jack the bidding up and made it seem (with min, max, etc.) like the highest bid would get there pitcher at midnight Saturday night. A few hours before when the bids got up there and he coulda had 35-40 mil pocketed, he decided well, I want more or I might not trade them at all and stay in debt. he's allowed to do what he did i guess, but its not right.

| The Dice-K bidding in real life was totally different. Also, the Major League organization had the option of getting their money back from that bid if they didn't come to an agreement on a contract. It's just not a direct parallel as the Japanese team was locked into letting a team buy rights to negotiate and the Brewers weren't even sure if they were moving all of these pitchers. | |

Well everyone can make an offer, sort of like free agency, and highest bidder wins. - Quote :

Yeah, I'm not sure what the minimum is. Just bid and I'll take the highest offer, assuming its not like a million dollars. wow that last one should sum it up.... but a couple days later all of a sudden he changes his tune about what he was doing. it just sucks that some of us changed our plans in FA because, at least for me, i wanted DiceK and knew i could outbid pretty much anyone that was in the running for him. i knew that i had a great chance at getting DiceK so i quit my pursuit of Anthony Reyes. anyway, i've had my say, i'll shut up.

| Its a game, chill out and quit being a baby. I I wasn't aproached by 3 people about Dice-K it would have never changed. On the of that, I am 38 million in debt and 'm no crying about it. I am still selling off the other 4, so why not bid on them. | |
