2008 Pitching Team IP ERA G GS W L SV K BB Begg, Chris SFG 147.0 3.43 21 20 12 5 0 74 42 (06)Wang, Chien-Ming NYY 218.0 3.63 34 33 19 6 1 76 52 Right now Begg is striking out more and walking more. We're comparing a 65 and a 70 power pitcher. As for walking, that is an interesting thing. Begg has 98 control and Wang 97. Want more evidence? Begg 98 control 70 power 89 movement Best Pitch: Sinker GB%: 52.8% Wang 97 control 65 power 90 movement Best Pitch: Sinker GB%: 63.7% Begg averages a little over 12 pitches an inning (I can only see his last 10 games, though =\). Chien averages 13.9. As you can see, both are very efficient. Begg has many similarities with the real Chien. One could argue as many as the Mogul Chien with the real Chien. Either way, just pointing this out | |
