| I just noticed how far he fell off the map. Wow. Just mind boggling.Last year, he was at the top at his game, and now he can barely pitch. Nice trade NYM. | |

Yes, those Mets are sneaky. He has Pettitte pitching like, well, the old Johan Santana, and even in a rebuilding year, he is winning.

| It's weird.....it happens with some pitchers during Spring Training. Usually, it occurs more in pitchers who haven't reached their peak yet, but sometimes it happens with stars as well. It's funny, but it seems to happen with pitchers and not position players. | |

| I'm wondering if there is a setting in the game that needs to be adjusted. I had a SP prospect go from 81/97 to 52/96 this year. | |

| Allegedly adjust 'Hall of fame careers' lessens this effect, but I'm not so sure myself. | |

| Some players and prospects in real life take hits like this, but no one expects something like this to happen to johan. | |

| This is what the manual says about the Hall of Fame Career option.
Hall Of Fame Careers Determines how easy it is for a superstar to maintain a high level of performance for an entire career. If this is set to '+100%', star players will tend to stay as star players for most of their career (and mediocre players will stay mediocre).
In contrast, if this is set to '-100%', star players will frequently "fall back to earth" (and mediocre players will more easily boost their production). This would, for example, lead to fewer players having 300 career wins or hitting 600 home runs.

| I'd like to see more Hall of Fame careers, personally, I know the default option on my Mogul season is not giving me any 300 winners. I had one that I kept on my Yankees team and I routinely win 120+ games. It's just hard for them to sustain the careers because ratings tend to slip, especially pitchers. | |

| I also just noticed Francisco Lirianos rating dropped too. I agree with you guys and I think we should change Hall of Fame Careers to 40%. Does that sound good? | |

God damn. He must be one of the most overpaid players in the league. **worries about Brandon Webb**

| I think it is probably just fluke things. It tends to happen primarily to pitchers during free agency and I don't really think the hall of fame careers has as much to do with this since it was already set at 50 percent. | |

| True, but he can't keep it up. He's a good 4th/5th starter but don't expect much more | |
